I got myself a new toy, a Suunto T6. Boy is this thing fun. Heart rate, Speed and distance (for running or biking) plus an altimeter, temperature, barometer and a built in training computer with PC interface.... I love me a new gadget!
why the new toy though? Well, my old Timex Ironman has really reached the end of the line. I didn't like the GPS function a whole lot once I used it a lot, reception was often spotty in the city or anywhere with a lot of trees. Recently, the HR monitor really gave up the ghost though and I use that a lot, the band on the watch has practically disintegrated. So it was time for a new one and voila, the T6.
I'll have more to say when I've used it more.
