Eat my dust...

I rocked my run tonight. Rocked it. I kept trying to slow myself down, trying to ease back to the 8:10 pace I'm supposed to keep up... but that isn't what happened. I'll have to check the workout tomorrow when i upload it but I know I rocked it.

More on the good news front, Mark has me scheduled for some time trial testing to set some new benchmarks. He's been very pleased with the progress so far and I've been thrilled. I can't wait for the tests...

Yeah Ben, take what the run/workout gives you. If you're feeling strong, go w/ it; if you're feeling weak, just get through it and know better days are ahead.
Thanks for commenting on my first blog. I just started reading into these a couple weeks ago and was blown away when I came across yours w/ the architecture background and interest in endurance sports. I graduated CU Boulder in 99 and have been working since; no grad school yet. Gotta let my wife finish her school first then maybe I can afford to go back.
Anyway, I saw that your doing the stroke/stride and that peaked my interest. If the wife lets me, I may try it out. Also saw you're up for the 5430 Long Course; man you are ambitious. I love it. I've heard it's a pretty brutal course and there's some serious competitiveness w/ a lot of elites in the field.
I'm curious what your coach thinks of you running above scheduled pace, is it OK? I'm just now trying to implement the slow/long philosophy but my stupid ego and vanity keeps getting in the way. Keep it up. M

Hey Boston, loved your blog about the long bike ride and the movies completed. This is first year I've been able to successfully and consistently do long runs on the treadmill, largely in part to having the DVD hooked up. Also, really impressed by the online training spreadsheet. I've gotta figure that out, my crude Windows Calendar is merely sufficient.
